MRA Safety Team Members Wanted for the 2023 Season!

Do you love motorcycles? Are you a fan of motorcycle racing? Would you like to get closer to the action and be part of a team? The MRA racing season is fast approaching and we need new members to join our Safety Team. The MRA Safety Team is critical for a safe and efficient race weekend, and all of our team members are essential.

WHAT DOES THE SAFETY TEAM DO?

Corner Worker Team Members�
Team members that are assigned to an area of the racetracks with safety flags and a handheld radio to report any crashes . With 15 turns at High Plains Raceway, we could use up to TEN new corner workers this season for the three tracks that we race at. �

Crash Cart Team Member
Responsible for driving the crash cart ATV and trailer to retrieve and transport crashed or disabled motorcycles and riders that are off-track back to the pits. The crash cart also has a cooler with drinks for the corner worker team members. Matt has agreed to come back this year as our crash cart operator. �

Mobile Response Team Members
In addition to the crash cart, we need one or two new team members to ride our motocross bikes to help the Crash Cart Operator with loading and retrieving motorcycles. If you like riding motocross motorcycles and being a part of the action, this job is for you.

Timing and Scoring Team Members
Two team members that do manual scoring at the start/finish line in case our electronic scoring system fails.

Start / Finish Team Members
Team members that ensure that racers are lined up in the correct grid spots, they are responsible for starting each race, and also displaying special start/finish racing flags.

�Pre-Grid Team Member
Responsible for controlling entry to the track, and that racers have a tech inspection sticker and are in the right race. �

Safety Team Leader (formerly “Head Corner Worker”)
We still have an opening for a new Safety Team Leader who can assist with training and coordination of the on-track staff.
