Had my 1 year follow-up for my knee today. Knee flexion is over 135. I'm happy, doctor is happy, my next appt is in 4 years!

4 months!
I will finally admit that I am glad I had the surgery ( I think).
I no longer walk with a limp, can go up and down the stairs with no effort. I have 8 more months till full recovery, but I don't even think about it anymore. I do my own rehab every day. Only pain is when I can't move my knee for a long time like sleeping, driving, standing too long and of course, overdoing it.
Edibles are still my go-to.
Okay. So all of you ( my cheerleaders) were right after all!
Don't want to brag, but
121 degrees!
Reflections at 3 weeks.
It feels like 3 months.
It's still 3 weeks till I can drive.
I know I am doing well- I hit 115 degrees last week at therapy.
I have got to attribute that to being in shape before the surgery.
(after all, this is my trainer page).
I had a month to get ready. I swam almost every day and did preparatory leg and ab work. I was far from being in great shape, but I knew I did the best I could beforehand.
None of this mattered the first two weeks when I was blinded by pain.
But each day I can do a little more and move my leg in a way that was impossible the week before.
Strong abs work in the background to assist in every body movement.
We all know the end goal. I like to set small goals and celebrate each one. (more trainer talk)
I got off pain pills Day 9. I'm using only edibles,
I hope I sound this good on my next post.
