For the last day of the Mountain Pulse Running Adventures San Juan Camp we tested out our tired legs at the Kennebec Mountain Run. The 15 mile race with 3,500' of climbing features a lot of rugged Jeep roads and some technical singletrack outside of Durango. Everyone had a good time and raced well but the winners of the day were staffers and future Kennebec Mountain co-race directors Sean Meissner and Kristina Siladi who got engaged during the race! Thanks to RD Brendan Trimboli, the La Plata County Search & Rescue Team, Durango Running Company, all the race volunteers and the running community in Durango for putting on an awesome race!

The lead-in image may be a little misleading, as we're pretty sure coach Sean Meissner isn't homeless and has plenty of Montrail shoes, but it's awesome to see Officer Kent Green who came to our San Juan camp (pictured on Handies Peak with Sean) on the news for his work helping the homeless by giving them his old shoes. He'd shy away from bringing it up but recently Kent's kindness was caught on camera and went viral online, including a feature by Runner's World. Kent is an all around upstanding guy and it was great to have him be part of our camps.
