What We’re Tying.
Late summer is a good time to start tying Thingymarobs in orange and yellow.
Dropped a dozen orange •12 Thingymarobs at Riverside Colorado today.
A dozen yellow are headed up Wednesday.
Guiding may be on pause, but the vise definitely isn’t.

Hot to very hot. Get out early and keep an eye on water temperatures.
Hatches are thin right now, but we’re still getting fish to eat the Thingymarob.
When we’re fishing deeper water, we’re adding a •16 Electro Penguin as a dropper.
Stay mobile, cover water, and fish the deeper runs and pockets.
See you out there.

What We’re Using This Week.
Hot days are here, with a chance for afternoon showers.
The Thingymarob is still our first fly on the water. It keeps producing, so we’re not changing what’s working.
PMD and Drake hatches have been brief, but they’ve been productive—especially in the upper canyon. Keep a few of each in your box and be ready when they show.
With warmer weather, water temperatures are climbing. Fish early when you can, handle trout with care, and keep an eye on water temps.

Recent rain has added some color to the river and given it a nice bump.
Be mindful of water temperatures and get out early if you can. It’s supposed to heat up this weekend.
The Thingymarob is still the first fly on our water.
Look for PMD and the Drake hatch to rebound as the river begins to clear.
Our must-have flies this week:
• 12 Thingymarob
• 16 PMD Cripple
• 12 Drake Cripple
See you out there.
