We are excited to be hosting the Ambrose McAuliffe Memorial Dog Trial. July 15-17,2016. There will be a Top Hand competition Friday night and a full trial on Saturday and Sunday. Here are few highlights from our final dog trial. In this video is Ken Carel working in the Rodear sort, Bill Boyd doing the figure eight, Kathy Garner working the weave, Barbara Rowland in the sort and Tom Blasdell working the load, fetch and drive. Thank you again to all who helped put on the Best of the West and to all of the handlers that came and competed it meant the world to Ambrose and in his words " I can check that off my bucket list!"

You left us peaceful memories.
Your love is still our guide,

Our family chain is broken

but as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.

Roped by our Father’s hand.
To dwell among the angels

His hat is now a halo
His boots now touch the clouds.
His wit and friendly musings
Now charm angelic crowds.
He basks amid the sunlight

His spirit lies within us
The lives on earth he blessed.

A cowboy rides with Jesus
