Knee locking, catching, and even falling can sometimes be caused by a loose body inside the knee joint.
This patient came in after experiencing repeated episodes of the knee locking and giving out. After evaluation, we identified a loose body inside the knee that was causing mechanical symptoms and affecting daily function.
The patient did not want to go to the operating room or undergo general anesthesia, so we performed a minimally invasive in-office loose body removal using local anesthesia.
The loose body was successfully removed, and the patient was able to walk out of the office immediately after the procedure.
This is a great example of how select orthopedic conditions can be treated safely and effectively in the office with the right technique, technology, and patient selection.

Severe trigger finger can make even simple daily tasks painful and frustrating.
This patient had already failed conservative treatment and continued to struggle with locking, pain, and loss of hand function. What made her case more complex was her medical history: she has a mechanical heart valve and requires long-term anticoagulation with Coumadin, with an INR around 2.5.
Because stopping anticoagulation could create significant cardiac risk, the goal was to treat her trigger finger while minimizing bleeding risk.
Using our minimally invasive, in-office trigger finger release technique, we were able to safely release the pulley, improve her finger mechanics, and avoid interrupting her anticoagulation therapy.
In this video, youβll see how a precise, minimally invasive approach can help solve a painful hand condition while keeping patient safety at the center of the plan.
