Eleanor BANACH - 3rd place 9-10 girls (picture coming this week!)

Grant LARSON - 2nd place 13-14 boys
Grahame LINDEWALD - 1st place 13-14 boys

Also a huge congrats to our kids for swimming a ton of best times this season and racing hard the whole weekend. Love what’s happening now with our groups!

Regular practice schedule this week with a (rare) non-meet weekend so work hard and enjoy next weekend outside!

Tuesday silver/gold/senior at lake central long course 730-845pm as well….get it!

Claire Valentino also got a dose of senior girls today which made for a day!

Legendary Munster High School and MSC coach and founder Jon Jepsen passed away yesterday morning peacefully with his family in Tennessee.  Coach Jepsen was an all-American & Hall of Fame coach who set the standard and also broke records in the state of Indiana for high school swimming in the 1970s and 80s….his swimmers were doing things back then that would hold up today!  Although I never personally swam for Coach Jepsen he was an extremely valuable tutor to both my brother and I during our late age group and high school years, helping us in race-strategy, motivation, and overall guidance. His name is on a building…enough said! Prayers for the family RIP Coach!

Congratulations to Lilly K., Ontario J., and Coach Eric!

Lilly and Ontario were selected to compete in the annual Duel in the Pool, featuring top swimmers from Indiana, Illinois, and Texas. This year’s Chicago-themed competition drafted athletes to Team Hotdog, Team Pizza, and Team Beef.

Congratulations to Lilly and Ontario on being selected for Team Hotdog, this year’s championship team! 🌭🏆 And a special shoutout to Coach Eric for representing the Seahorses as a coach at this prestigious event.

Also, a huge thank you to Illinois Swimming and Indiana Swimming for the outstanding event coverage throughout the weekend. The reels, photos, and behind-the-scenes content did a fantastic job showcasing the athletes and making the event fun to follow from home!
