🌟 Player of the Month 🌟
Congratulations to Oona Lake, our U11 Player of the Month! 👏⚽
A well-deserved recognition for the effort, attitude and development shown throughout the month.
🗣️ Coach Kate:
“Oona always has to work that little bit harder for this accolade, but credit where credit is due!
Oona has been working incredibly hard, both at training and outside of it. Battling knee issues and working on her fitness, she has shown a level of grit and determination beyond anything we've seen from her before.
But what really earned her this award this month is her LEADERSHIP!
Whether she's at the front of the line or the back, she leads the group through every warm-up. Her communication with her teammates throughout training and games is exemplary. She's always the first to collect cones, organize the teams bags, and make sure nobody leaves any trash behind after a game.
She's our unofficial welcoming committee for every new player, making sure everyone feels included and part of the team.
And to top it all off, she's been getting herself on the scoresheet and racking up assists too!
Leadership isn't about wearing the captain's armband. It's about what you do when nobody is asking you to do it.
Well deserved, Oona! Keep putting in the work!”
Keep up the great work, Oona! 💪🔵⚪
