Got mold?
Mold, the silent, stealthy, toxic killer of yachts. Many yachts are unknowingly infested with mold, causing a toxic, hazardous area for crew members and guests that may lead to respiratory issues, coughs, and rashes. Due to the nature of yachts, they tend to be a breeding ground for mold to take hold and completely envelope an entire vessel. Many of these issues stem from improper installation of chilled water lines and the thermal pipe insulation applied. Any pipe, cable, zip tie, bracket, or any other material or thing that touches or compresses the thermal pipe insulation/lagging will cause the insulation to prematurely fail resulting in leaking pipes mold growth, and damge to wood & metal structures, and damage to expensive electrical components.

Fonz's Marine Services Inc was in miami servicing Motor Yacht Madsummer (311ft) stabilizer underwater and cleaning her waterline. After 3 days we were able to get her hinge pin disassembled, new bearings installed, and put back together. No matter how difficult the job is, we will get it done!
We service all of South Florida from Miami to Palm Beach County, as well as internationally.

Fonz's Marine Services is on M/Y G3 replacing some old moldy pipe insulation on their chilled water lines. With pipe insulation, nothing can be compressing or touch the insulation, if so it will result in failure. We do not simy replace the insulation but come up with solutions to insure it will continue to last and not fail which may resulting in potential damage and mold to wood, electrical, furniture, etc.
