Getting better at blasters with somebody over let him know I was running a 2 and 1 deal so he capitalized and made some serious progress in 2 1.5 hour sessions

Did you dryfire today? Yesterday? This week? This month? Ever?

If you’re not as good as you want to be or aren’t as good as you can be it’s because you don’t dryfire. The number one thing that’s holding you back is that you go days weeks or months without meaningful gun handling.

There are books, like the stoeger one, and instructors, myself included, often give dryfire homework or will gladly give you something to do but if you come to class and you haven’t progressed since last time it’s probably because you’re not dryfiring.

If you know you don’t know what you’re doing enough to dryfire on your own get your ass in my DMs schedule a private and I’ll give you a ton of stuff to be worked on in dry and live fire BY YOU without ME.

I was doing some malfunction training with a regular student and we ended up with this after a failure to asses that he had a double feed rather than a failure to fire.

Marrying the proper response to a stimulus is the key to success in shooting. Imagine trying to “tap rack” your way to a clear gun during a gunfight or a match. You’d be toast. Make a quick assessment and act.
