A beautiful sunset for the USNT after a day of training in 7-15 knots of wind out on Lake Pontchartrain. Today the team worked on “getting a good start” and raced in a practice regatta with the ODP2 sailors.
Many thanks to Southern Yacht Club for hosting the sailors and to Coach “Happy” for making the two days of intense training possible. It has been a long journey back to the water and racing. The USNT is looking forward to more training in 2021!!

The United States National Team is back!! Southern Yacht Club is hosting the “Re-Launch” of the USNT program.
The day opened with lots of sunshine and a nice steady breeze.
“Coach Happy” executes speed drills and tunes up the kids.

The USNT Lauderdale YC practice is off to a great start. This is the first practice for the newest members added after the Spring Team Qualifier this past October. The sailors are showered and de-rigged and headed to the classroom for a debrief and some chalk talk.
