The unofficial kickoff to summer is this weekend. ✈️☀️
For many families in Fort Lauderdale, Memorial Day weekend means packing up for a resort, heading to a beach club, or hosting friends and family. But changing environments introduces new, invisible safety blindspots.
When we travel, our routines break. We assume the resort lifeguard has eyes on everyone. We assume the rental house is secure. We choose swimsuits based on a holiday aesthetic rather than visibility.
True water safety isn't just about what happens during a lesson with Gina—it’s about the boundaries we maintain when we are out of our normal routine. If your child isn't yet water confident, that's where we come in. DM us SWIM.
Take 5 minutes to audit your travel setup before you hit the road or head to the dock this Friday- send this to whoever's traveling with your kids this weekend.
Have a beautiful, safe long weekend.

May is National Water Safety Month — and at Gigi’s Guppies, this is the heart of everything we do. 💙
As we head into the heat of a South Florida summer, our goal is to turn “poolside anxiety” into poolside confidence. Safety isn’t just a season for us, but this month is the perfect time to ensure your family is prepared for the water.
All month long, keep an eye on our page! We’ll be sharing expert safety tips straight from Gina to help you and your little ones stay safe and savvy all summer. 💦
Ready to get started? We’re currently booking private lessons across Fort Lauderdale.
DM us the word “SWIM” to book your free consultation call!
Let’s make sure your guppy is ready for the water. 🐠

This moment matters more than it looks like.
Before kids learn strokes, breath control, or technique — they need to learn how it feels to be calm in the water.
Panic is what puts children at risk.
Calm gives them access to everything else.
That’s why our focus is slow exposure, body awareness, and trust — not forcing progress on a timeline.
Every child learns differently. And that’s exactly how it should be.
