Having campaigned a Class 1 raceboat since 2023, run the dominant Super Cat-class campaign from 2017-2024, and recently added a Super Stock-class team to his impressive portfolio, the Kansas-based excavating business-owner and his influence have proven invaluable for his team and the sport. 🚤 Tyler is the epitome of leading by example, his never-fading energy fuels the M CON team, who knows that no one outworks him. 🏆

Last Wednesday marked the start of the 38th annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. Tyler and Lindsey, after a day's work, made it just in time for the Shootout On The Strip street exhibit to see their Class 1 Skater 418 raceboat displayed in all its glory. 🌊

In his words, "It was another whirlwind of an event… a long day but a good day.” Adding, “..another successful Shootout is in the books. Apart from the thrilling runs and incredible hardware, the audience turnout was huge on Saturday — all in support of the charities the Shootout supports."

So, what continues to fuel Tyler Miller's journey? One word- Passion. He conveyed. Passion for his fans, his family, his team, the thrill of racing, and his lifelong love for water. All these elements put together are “the cherry on top” for him.

This year's offshore racing season has been nothing short of wild and unpredictable! For all you offshore racing enthusiasts out there, "help is on the way"! The American Power Boat Association-sanctioned Roar Offshore Fort Myers Beach, organized by Cole Leibel and Shaun Torrente, is set for September 11–13. Though limited to the Super Stock class, approx 17-18 teams are anticipated. "Pretty much everyone is coming," said Leibel. The action kicks off on Friday with practice in the morning and qualifying in the mid-afternoon. Saturday has two heat races scheduled, followed by Speed Cat Runs - "high-speed exhibition passes". The championship round is slated for Sunday at 2 p.m with a start running toward the beach, and a change in course with both left and right-hand turns. Just a week away! Stay tuned! 🚤🌊

Charging through Lake of the Ozarks Shootout at 84 mph, our transparently powerful, six-outboard-engine equipped Deep Impact 449 crafted a lasting impact. With its debut, we marked the 38-year old event's history as the first six-outboard-powered boat!

Our 41-year old concierge and transportation service, John Wittenberger, relished the adrenaline that usually accompanies these super-fast escapades. Contrasting it with his previous rides, he humorously quipped how the experience passed a tad slower than expected.

Sharing the experience were Florida Powerboat Club's Tyler Jones and speedonthewater.com's J.R. Bellis, both Gen-Z seafarers. Despite not being professional test-drivers, they've lived much of their lives on boats, and absolutely loved their ride!

In Tyler's own words, the 45-footer is the 'perfect hybrid' for both speed and stability. Meanwhile, the roar of the six 500R engines, powering you and 12 of your closest friends on Lake of the Ozarks, is an auditory delight; a harmony of strength and sophistication.

Both lauded the boat's beautiful design and its competitive prowess, with Bellis specifically highlighting the secure, comfortable bolster seating. It seems even the younger generations recognize the power and poise of the Deep Impact 449! 🚤💨 📷

The 38th Lake of the Ozarks Shootout may be behind us and Labor Day Weekend knocking on our door, but the boating event-season is far from over! September is booming with exciting events.

Kick-starting the fun from Sept 10-13 is the 20th anniversary celebration of the Lake Cumberland Poker Run in Kentucky!

Up next is the must-attend Florida Powerboat Club Emerald Coast Powerboat Week from Sept 17-20. A trifecta of boating events remains for 2026 - the Fall Fun Run, Hawks Cay Resort and Key West Powerboat Week.

A treat for Northeast folks - the Oneida Chicken Wing Run in Sylvan Beach, N.Y. is back on Sept 19 & you don't even have to BYOW 😉.

Last but not least, Pirates Of Lanier Poker Run gears up for a high-energy event on Sept 25-26 in Buford, Ga.

Call it the magic of September, Pirates of Lanier and the Catalina Fun Run are on the same weekend - though 2,220 miles apart - making it an unlikely scheduling conflict.

Gear up for a bucket-full of thrilling events ranging from the Red Eyes Dock Bar Fun Run to Englewood Beach Pirate Poker Run and the epic Lake Conroe Thunder Run.

The 1,000 Islands affair lives up to its name by making significant donations to charity. This year's event raised a whopping $457,000! With the largest share ($275k) donated to Make-A-Wish of Central New York, and the remainder assisting local emergency services and hospitals.🚑🏥

Cheers to the crowd not deterred by the sweltering heat! 🙌💕

Commendable fundraising efforts by Rock The River Cincy, bringing us just shy of our goal! Contributions will heavily support the Cecil Dye Foundation 🎗️First time runner, the American Custom Marine Fountain, will be showcased at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout!

Every day brings something new at the Shootout, like the partnership between Performance Boat Center and Concept Boats, or the ambitious Beefed-Up Velocity V-Bottom Project for a worthy cause. So much excitement at every corner, all culminating next weekend with the Revenant making its debut!

Nothing captures the spirit of MTI quite like Lake of the Ozarks, our home-water & a testament to our high-performance center-console & catamaran heritage. One of the fun parts of being in this Central Missouri waterway is our MTI breakfast run, now in its second year! It’s beautiful to see a gathering of 40 boats, housing 200 proud MTI lovers. We had 20 boats signed up at the start of the week, but the perfect weather in the low 80s led us to double our participation in a matter of days. Talk about a pleasant surprise, but it just meant ordering more food! Mikey Boyle, an MTI 390X owner, joined the fun this year. He applauded the event, saying, "What an incredible family of people.” Grateful for all the MTI family members & the immense love for our brand. Soaring high over Texas, en route back to Florida, I'm reminiscent of the ongoing 38th annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri. It's a magnitude greater than when I began covering it in the mid-90s, when go-kart racing and b**r were the only after-dark diversions. Fast forward and the locals have learned not to let us loose on their tracks, & the cities around the lake have evolved providing endless distractions day and night during the Shootout.

Despite missing the chaos, I'm looking forward to some downtime in Sarasota after a long travel-filled summer. Eric Colby, a familiar face from Powerboat days, will be wrapping up our coverage on speedonthewater.com. Six of the twelve pieces we've put out since Monday have been Shootout stories, a testament to the hard work of reporters J.R.Bellis, and photographers Pete Boden & Jeff Helmkamp.

The Saturday & Sunday boat race competition still awaits, and amidst the searing Missouri heat, enthusiasts demonstrated their undying passion for the sport at the Shootout On The Strip affair yesterday.

There's truly no place like home. Yet a small part of me longs to be back amidst the uproar.

Despite unforeseen circumstances threatening to capsize the seventh annual Rock The River Cincinnati Fun Run, the event still managed to make waves for a cause, raising close to $90k for the Cecil Dye Foundation. 🌊🚤

An unexpected surge in river levels forced our courageous organizers and 457+ determined participants to navigate around the challenge and continue to hold a successful event. 🙌

We are blessed with the steadfast generosity from our supporters and continuous resilience from the event team, driving us close to our lofty $100k fundraising goal. 🎯We couldn't be more humbled, thankful and excited for what's next. 💚
