This is Florida Aikikai! This is TAPEBALL!!!!!
It's sumo week at Aikido Camp!! The July tournament is happening this week in Japan so the kids have been practicing.
Fun fact: A former camper came up with the format for this activity over 15 years ago and we've been sumo-ing ever since. We used to put tape down (before we replaced all our old mats) to mark out the rings, and one summer the same camper and her sister balled up the tape at the end of the camp day and created a game we think is unique to Florida Aikikai: Tapeball!

Florida Aikikai is privileged to present Christian Raun with his 4th Dan Certificate. Chris started Aikido at 17 in Sweden and received his black belt there. Since then he joined and enriched our dojo community with his friendship, knowledge, and dedication 🙏 Congratulations to us all !
