May 4th be with You ☺️ Monday is here! Same as us - back in the Shala!
We hope you all had a great Sunday and had time to rest and enjoy the weekend.
The schedule for this week is in place:
Mon-Fri 6- 8 am Mysore (all levels, no levels - register and come)
Sat - Led Full Primary (if you do Mysore, come for the led; if you are not familiar with Ashtanga, come to a Mysore-style class first).
See you in the Shala 👋

Mysore and Led are different, but they belong together.

☀︎ In Mysore, you move at your own pace.
You learn the sequence step by step, repeat it, and start to remember it. Over time, the practice becomes more familiar and more your own.

☀︎ In Led class, everyone moves together.
The pace is set, the breaths are counted, and the rhythm is steady. It gives you a clear reference for how the practice is meant to feel.

If you only do Mysore, it’s easy to slowly change things without noticing - breaths get shorter, parts get skipped, the rhythm becomes personal. If you only do Led, the practice stays something you follow, but don’t fully build yourself.

When both are part of your week, they support each other. One helps you learn, the other keeps you on track.
In AYFTL, we propose you both - as part of one method 🙌

Consistency, dedication, devotion, discipline.

Every Saturday, the shala holds the tradition: we come together for a full Led Primary class - one of the two formats through which the Ashtanga method is practiced and understood.

If you already know what is Led - you know the drill.

If you’re new but curious, there are two ways to begin:

1. Start with Mysore. You will learn gradually, at your own pace, building understanding step by step. And somewhere after few classes you can join (you will have to join Led) ;)
2. Come to the Led class. Here you experience the method as it is given: Sanskrit count, steady pace, and the full sequence of the Primary Series. You choose. You are always welcome.

April 19, Sunday Pop-Up Mysore

Join us this Sunday.

A self-paced Ashtanga practice with individual guidance. Open to everyone, including beginners.

Different bodies, different life stories, different moods, approaches, and intentions. Seasoned practitioners and newcomers. On a good day, a neutral day, or a bad day - all in one space, sharing one practice. Building a connection invisible to the eye, but felt the moment you step into the room.

Give it a try! It's not like any other “class”!

* Thursday the 2nd - Moon Day. No pra toce. Shala closed.
** Join us as a new student during April for a minimum of 3 classes a week and get a month of free practice!

No experience needed at all. Come as you are.
