Well… Mother Nature wins this round! ☔️

Due to the rainy weather expected throughout the day, Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course will be CLOSED today, Wednesday, September 9.

We’ll give the course a chance to soak it all in and hopefully be back at it tomorrow! ⛳️

Our Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course family is saddened by the loss of one of our own, Chuck Kempker.

Chuck was a valued member of our Board of Directors and an important part of the Fort Madison and Sheaffer’s community. His time, dedication, and commitment to our course have left a lasting impact, and his presence will be deeply missed.

A golf course is so much more than fairways and greens. It is the people who give their time, share their ideas, lend a hand, and care about keeping a place like this going for generations to enjoy. Chuck was one of those people.

Our thoughts are with Chuck’s family, friends, fellow board members, and everyone in our community who knew and loved him.

Thank you, Chuck, for everything you gave to Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course. You will be missed. ❤️⛳
