Congrats to Alexis & Chrissy on their 3rd set tie-break win over Lake Wylie! (12-10) They are the Players of the Match! Northwestern fell to Lake Wylie 4-2, but took line 5 (Carmyn Bennett) and #2 doubles!
1)Tennis parents and players! If you’re a tennis player in the Rock Hill/York/Lake Wylie area, I’ve got news for you. I’ve recently moved to Northwestern High School and I’m offering tennis classes for kids from ages 5 to 17, beginner and up!.
My name is Julie Sawyer, and Im a former D1 player at Clemson.
I would love to get to know your kids and teach them a sport for life!
If you would like to know the details, send me the word “TENNIS”
Also, I’m currently coaching the Northwestern girls team as well, and over the next few weeks I’m offering private consulting for high school girls who are in season who want to improve their results in matches. If you are high school player or parent and you want to perform better in matches, send me the word “TENNIS” and I’ll send you the details.
Tennis players!
If you feel like you ‘choke’ in big moments… it’s not because you’re weak.
It’s because you don’t know what to do with the pressure. I’m tennis coach Julie Sawyer, former D1 player at Clemson.
Youve got to understand, when the score gets tight, most players either rush to get it over with… or play too safe and hope the other player misses.
Both come from the same thing—fear.
And until you learn how to handle that moment properly, it’s going to keep happening.
If you want to change that, DM me ‘PRESSURE’ and I’ll show you how to handle those moments.

Congratulations to Eva Mabey and Elaina Beilstein on their Winner and Runner-Up finish in Flight A of our tournament today! Great job, girls!
Tennis players! Confidence doesn’t disappear randomly in matches! There’s always a reason. What I see all the time is players start well, then one mistake, and a bad game, and everything changes. I’m Julie Sawyer, former D1 player at Clemson, and I’ve been there!
Suddenly your self-talk shifts, your body language drops, and you start doubting yourself. And the problem isn’t the mistake, it’s what you tell yourself after the mistake, because that’s what creates the spiral. If you want help fixing that, DM me “CONFIDENCE” and I’ll show you what to do instead.
