In Loving Memory of Apollo
The one who started it all.
Every story has a beginning, and ours began with Apollo.
His story began with abuse and a kill pen, but those painful beginnings would not define the rest of his life. For the last 9½ years, Apollo lived his best life after letting us know he was too mentally scarred to be a riding horse for his own wellbeing—instead we made sure he was safe, loved, and free to simply be a horse retired and never hurt again.
He was the heart of Haywire Ranch, our beloved mascot, and the one who started this journey for us. As the ranch grew and new memories were made, Apollo remained part of what made this place home.
Saying goodbye leaves an emptiness that words cannot fill. But alongside that sadness is gratitude that we could give him those years of peace, comfort, and love. He deserved every one of them.
Forever loved. Forever our mascot. Forever part of Haywire Ranch.
