Legacy Submission Grappling

Our goal is to develop more than skilled grapplers. We want to help build people of character.

They’re in that order for a reason. Building off of each other to create the foundation for everything we do.

These values apply to everyone in our academy. Kids, adults, coaches, and parents because building a strong culture is something we all contribute to.

This month, we begin with the foundation of it all: Respect.

Some of the best memories are made from days like these.

Today’s team event was awesome. It takes a village to create a culture that develops not only athletes, but lifelong friendships. Spending time together outside of training is just as important as the hours we put in on the mats

Here’s what we got in store for this upcoming training camp.

Every week is built around a specific system that connects directly to the next. Rather than collecting isolated techniques, athletes will develop a complete framework that carries them from standing exchanges all the way to submissions.

The final week is dedicated to bringing everything together.

The goal of the camp is for every athlete who stays consistent to understand how each system flows into the next, giving them a clear roadmap they can rely on in competition. Instead of depending on attributes alone, they’ll step onto the mat with a structured understanding of what they’re trying to accomplish, why they’re doing it, and how to get there.

The UFC BJJ Opens is coming to Fort Lauderdale Sept 27th and we wanted to invite local academies with kids competing at this event to come cross train with us.

Starting Aug 3rd, we’ll be hosting a 7-week competition training camp leading up to it. Each week will introduce a new system that builds on the previous one starting with standing to ground, giving kids a structured roadmap they can follow by the end of the camp.

We don’t just want kids to show up, roll hard, and get tougher. We want them to build a framework that develops skill for long-term success.

We believe cross training is one of the most valuable tools anyone can use, especially for young competitors. The kids in our local Jiu-Jitsu community would benefit so much from opportunities like these. They’re not only preparing but they’ll build friendships along the way long after the tournament is over.

Adults and Kids!

Join us on Sunday, August 2nd for an fun afternoon at Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation (Bermuda Fields).

This is an opportunity to come together outside of Jiu-Jitsu and continue building the community that makes Legacy special.

We’ll have football, volleyball, soccer, tug of war and great vibes!

⏰Time: 3:00 PM until everyone heads home.

This is open to all Legacy members, and you’re welcome to invite your family and friends!

Bring your own cooler of snacks and drinks.

We hope to see everyone there. Let’s make some great memories together outside of the mats!
