Hey All,
This July 4th, I'll be doing something significant on a significant day for a significant reason.
Seven years ago, on July 4, I lost my beautiful daughter, Kendall. I could spend this day remembering the worst day of my life, or I could spend it creating hope for someone else. I choose hope.
I'll be riding 100 miles to raise funds for the very first Ends Equestrians Beta Event this October—a milestone that will help launch a ministry using the power of horses to connect people to Jesus and one another.
If you're in Southwest Florida, I'd love for you to be part of the day! Ride a few miles with me, cheer along the route, ring a cowbell, wave as I pass, or simply pray for safe travels and that God would use this ride to impact lives.
Here’s the link to my Ride with GPS route if you'd like to join me somewhere along the way. https://ridewithgps.com/events/489324-ends-equestrians-july-4th-100-mile-ride
If you'd like to support the launch of Ends Equestrians and help us fully fund our first Beta Event, you can make a gift at the link in the first comment.
Whether you ride, cheer, pray, share this post, or make a gift, thank you for being part of this journey. Every act of encouragement helps launch Ends Equestrians and reminds me that none of us rides alone.
Ends Equestrians July 4th 100 Mile Ride
Our very first Ends Equestrian Beta Event is officially scheduled for October 10, 2026, at a beautiful ranch in Punta Gorda, Florida! This will be a one-day...

This weekend was all about Ends Equestrians.
On Friday night and Saturday morning, I was at Eirene Ranch going through their volunteer training. We will be holding our very first Ends Equestrians event there this October. Eirene Ranch serves people who have experienced trauma, helping them find healing through connection with horses, others, and God. The work they do is incredible, and I’m honored that our first event will be held there.
Then, just a little bit ago minutes before a Florida downpour rolled in, I finished a 40-mile training ride in the heat. It was tough, but every mile reminded me why I’m doing this.
On July 4th, I’ll be riding 100 miles to raise the funds needed for our first-ever Ends Equestrians event. I’m putting in the training, the sweat, and the miles because I believe this mission matters.
The exciting part? We’re so close.
If just 10 more people sponsor me at $1 per mile ($100 total), we’ll have the event fully funded!
Would you consider being one of those 10 sponsors?
Thank you to everyone who has already supported this journey. Your generosity is helping create an opportunity for healing, hope, and connection for others.
God is so good, and I can’t wait to see what He does through this event.

Hello All! I just finished a metric century (62 miles) on this beautiful Saturday.
Why did you ride 62 miles Karen?
Because I'm training for a special event.
What are you training for?
I'm SO GLAD you asked! I need everyone's help with a special project. Our very first Ends Equestrian Beta Event is officially scheduled for October 10, 2026, at a beautiful ranch in Punta Gorda, Florida!
This will be a one-day, invitation-only event designed to help us test and refine the experience before we launch public Ends Equestrian events in 2027. We’ve strategically invited participants from a variety of backgrounds so we can gather meaningful feedback and make these future events as impactful and excellent as possible.
Because these participants are generously giving their time to help us build something meaningful, I don’t want to ask them to pay a registration fee. Instead, I’m inviting friends, family, current sponsors, and potential sponsors to help make this first event possible.
So here’s the challenge:
On July 4, 2026, I’m going to ride my bike 100 miles to raise support for this very first Ends Equestrian event.
I’m looking for 37 people willing to sponsor me at $1 per mile.
To be honest, it’s been a little while since I’ve ridden 100 miles. I’ve slacked off a bit since summiting Haleakalā last October, so it’s time to get training again! During the ride, I’ll be doing some Facebook Live broadcasts so you can follow along with me through the face-melting Florida heat.
I’d also love for friends to come ride a few miles with me, cheer along the route with Ends Cycling cowbells, or meet me at Royal Scoop for the giant ice cream cone that will hopefully fuel me home!
But there’s another reason this ride matters deeply to me.
After praying about it, I felt the Lord clearly leading me to do this ride on July 4th because that date marks the beginning of this entire journey with Ends Equestrians. It’s also the day, seven years ago, that I lost my daughter. What began from deep heartbreak has become something God is using to bring hope, healing, and connection to others.
So, it feels fitting that on such a significant day, I would take on a significant ride for a significant milestone in this ministry.
Would you prayerfully consider sponsoring me at $1 per mile for this 100-mile ride?
Your support will directly help cover the costs of launching this first-ever Ends Equestrian Beta Event and help us build something that can impact lives for years to come.
Thank you for believing in this mission and for walking — and riding — alongside me.
With gratitude,
Karen

Kentucky Derby Day — May 2, 2026
Millions will watch horses thunder down the track today—but at Ends Equestrians, we’re reminded of something deeper.
Behind the speed, strength, and beauty is a greater truth: creation is intentional, and care matters.
We believe moments with horses can open hearts—pointing people toward Jesus, who meets us in our strength, our struggle, and everything in between.
Today we celebrate horses—and the Savior who uses even them to draw people to Himself.

Today, April 26th, is National Help a Horse Day!
Horses have a way of slowing us down long enough to remember what matters—presence, patience, care, and trust. And sometimes, the most powerful way we love is not what we say, but what we do.
At Ends Equestrians, we see moments like grooming, tending, and simply showing up as opportunities to reflect the heart of God to both horses and people.
Today is a reminder: love shows up in action.

Not every moment with horses is big or dramatic.
Most of it is quiet—showing up, brushing coats, cleaning stalls, building trust one small moment at a time.
But that’s often where the deepest connection happens.
At Ends Equestrians, we believe faithfulness in the small things matters. The same way we care for horses with patience and consistency, God meets us with the same steady care in our own lives.
“Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”
—1 Corinthians 4:2
This week, don’t underestimate the small moments of care—they matter more than you think.
