Obie and Tyleen this morning ! This team has been working together since about January of this year. A bit of history on one of our sweet lesson horses :
We were gifted Obie about 5 years ago. Obie has been resting for a few years due to a bone spur in this left front. This is something that he has struggled with for a while and although we are not sure his prior history, we suspect this might have been how he landed in our lap. He came to us with no hope of ever being here again but he has been sound for almost a year now. He is now owned by Rosalie, owner of our farm. We’re hopeful that new bone has matured and that the inflammation has resolved going forward. We will always put our horses first and if things change, we will make sure to give him the rest and time he needs. A big thank you to Tyleen for being a big part of his slow and careful pull towards a career he’s comfortable and happy with !

Growing up, I was never the rider to have the funds to ride, board or even own a horse, but I always found a way! I worked tirelessly and learned everything I could about anything involving horses and the industry ! I fully believe that the barn is not just a place you keep your horse or where you just learn to ride, but a group of people who are family. My mission is to make ridding possible for a select few. Horseback riding remains one of the most expensive equestrian pursuits. In 2026, group lessons average $30–$60 per hour, private sessions $50–$110, with monthly commitments often exceeding $200–$400 for consistent training at minimum!
Full horse ownership or boarding adds $5,000–$15,000+ annually per horse (feed, vet, farrier, tack, insurance), pricing many passionate enthusiasts (like myself) out entirely.
Our mission prioritizes horses first. We make learning to ride accessible without extreme debt, restoring stress-free enjoyment—even competitively—through affordable, high-quality programs. We know that horses are just expensive! But if we can help a few who love the sport like I do, I’m here for it !
We are currently accepting a limited number of riders and boarders to support those who love horses but face financial barriers. We want to bring to the table learning to ride with some affordability and bring back good hard working horsemen to this industry. This is our mission and we’re waiting for you to join us before we fill up!
