Senior year has started, and Chase will be working on his welding certification at IRSC. I’m thankful he can do the welding program through dual enrollment at the college. He’s hoping to use this skill and the CNC machine cutting certification to make his own brand of knives in the future. Looking forward to his future! #irscwelding #tip2grip

Today I will be at the White City Historical Antique Mercantile during their annual spring fling sale. Shop for some great deals while there is a store-wide sale. While you’re shopping, I will sharpen your bladed tools.

Pocket knife-$5.00 @
Additional blades (ex. Swiss army)-$2.00 per blade
Fixed blades-$6.00 @
Scissors-$5.00 @
Kitchen knives-$6.00 @
Axes, machetes, and Hatchets-$6.00 @
Lawn mower blades-$7.00 @
Chisel-$3.00 @
Awls-$2.00
Any blade with 1/2 serration is an additional $1.00
Any blade with a full serration is an additional $2.00
Prices may increase based on the condition of the tool. Feel free to stop by on Fridays or Saturdays for a quote.

Customers with multiples tools are given a discount on sharpening.

As a part of the White City Historical Antique Mercantile and their part in the White City Merchant Market, Tip to Grip will be available from 8am-1 pm tomorrow, Saturday June 10th.

Today, Chase will be at the store his regular Friday hours from 1-4 pm.

Recently, Chase finished up a refurbished job on a 1940s M3 WWII trench knife. The first two pics are before and after shots. The remainder are some of the process to complete. One thing that isn’t shown is the layering of the leather pieces he hand cut for the grip. These were added to the grip and sanded down. The initial sanding was by hand, and the fine-tuning was on a belt sander.
