Becca Brusven was born and raised in Pierre, South Dakota, and trained at Hosanna Dance until she graduated in 2024. During that time Becca passed Cecchetti student grades I-VII and started her CCA teacher grades. She is currently training for her Cecchetti Diploma Exam. She competed at YAGP in San Francisco and was a CICB finalist.
She attended summer intensives such as South Dakota Ballet, Dance Gallery of South Dakota, Ballet Magnificat, Ballet Austin, and Ballet 5:8.
She has studied at Kate Simmons Dance in the UK for the past 2 years and graduated this past year with a diploma in dance performance and diploma in dance education. This included college coursework from Trinity College, London.
During her time in England she performed at places such as the Royal Ballet School and Elmhurst for events, she also competed as a Grad Pro Finalist in Birmingham. Brusven also has received awards such as Cyril Beaumont runner up, Most Promising Dancer, Most Promising Dancer in Classical Ballet, Choreography competition winner and runner up awards, and Spanish Dance commendation. She also played roles such as Giselle and Queen of the Willis in KS Dance’s Production of Giselle.
She is passionate about classical ballet, choreography, jazz, and contemporary dance. Becca loves to teach students and help them discover their own capabilities in dance and enjoy the process of learning.
