Due to the weather forecast we have moved our scrimmage to 4:30 PM today. There will not be any performances by the Belles or Cheer but any fans or parents are still welcome to come see the scrimmage. The 2021 Southside Maverick Football Schedule is set!

Some of our football coaches had the pleasure of touring our new gym this afternoon thanks to Baldwin & Shell Construction Company!
Here are some of the highlights of this awesome new facility:
✅ Seats approximately 2,460 people, (more than enough to host a state tournament)
✅ Coaches offices, players lounges and locker rooms for our volleyball, girls and boys basketball teams
✅ 1,000 square foot weight room
✅ Four-sided video scoreboard linked to an A/V room, allowing students to get video production experience
✅ Dressing room for referees
✅ Hospitality room
✅ Training room with cold tubs
✅ Practice gym/storm shelter with regulation-sized court
We’re looking forward to opening up Maverick Arena later on this year!

It was great to have the 2021 Class of Leadership Fort Smith, along with our Fort Smith Public Schools Superintendent Terry Morawski and Athletic Director Michael Beaumont on campus with us today!
Coach Dameron, Coach Forte, and Coach Witherspoon fitted them with helmets and shoulder pads before taking them through a couple of drills our players do every day 🏈

We are asking as many of you as possible to join us in a focused time of prayer for Jim Rowland in his hour of need. Coach was taken back to ICU yesterday, and is in critical condition.

We will meet at Southside Stadium at 5pm. There will be a time for corporate prayer and then we will ask everyone to prayer walk at least 1 time around the track lifting Coach Rowland and his family up in prayer!
