Last night we raced at Tri-State Speedway with the 247 car with Dylan behind the new Superior Steering Wheels. And we also had our new set of AFCO Racing Shocks by RACE Shock Service
We fought overheating problems last time we raced so I spent the last few weeks going over things..put a new radiator in the car..made some modifications to my radiator screen so that all air that enters has to go through the radiator. Thought i had things good to go. Went out for the heat race and started 8th and finished 5th but came in and the car was at 235 degrees.
Pulled a plug and it was showing too much timing so we backed it off some for the feature. Went out for the feature and started 9th and after a couple of laps there was a caution and it ended up a very long caution and the temperature started climbing during it so Dylan decided to just pull it in and not risk it not coming back down once they went green again.
Tri-State is off this coming weekend so I am going to go over more things on the car to see if I can figure the overheating problem.
I (Taylor) also want to apologize to my drivers Dylan & Brian Williams and to all of the ones that make up our crew for not being able to provide cars good enough for them to do their job on the track since the Spooker last October.
Im starting to doubt my ability to get them front running cars ☹️
I want to thank the ones that continue to be a part and support our racing team
