Fly Free Disc Golf

Fourth of July week - please be cautious out there, as we seem to have a lot of traffic and people doing reckless things on the road. Fly Free will be closed from the 4th through the weekend. Look for our opening of the new location the following week!

I'm happy to let everyone know that Bob's Bicycles will be the new drop-off point for the discs dropped off in the drop box at Ferry.
(21 Hollywood Blvd NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.) This is still very close to the course, and we are thankful for their help!

We have a box of discs here and will get them dropped off as soon as possible this week. Fly Free...

Once again, just a couple of things.

~ We are starting our move, so the current store will be open from 10 to 3 Monday through Saturday, still closed on Sunday.

~ We haven't had luck finding a business to take over the lost and found box. If you know someone who can, reach out so we can keep the box at the park!

Just a couple of things -

- The lost and found box at Ferry Park. Fly Free is going to stop taking in the lost and found disc on the 30th of this month (June). We are trying to decide what we can do moving forward. If anyone has a business that would like to take over, have them contact us.

We want to thank all of you who have expressed your thoughts about Fly Free closing its doors. We appreciate all of you who are so passionate about our sport. We will see some changes at Fly Free, but we will not be closing our doors—we are just moving to a new location! Stay tuned for more information.

Nate is out of town, so we swung by and picked up the disc in the box. We will start calling in a bit!

Just so you know, Nate and I are both out of town, so we will check the box on our return on Monday. The shop is open tomorrow and Friday from 10am to 2 pm and Saturday from noon to 5pm.

The next chapter for me is to play more disc golf around the country, see old friends, make new ones, and Fly Free. The COM ICity of MObile) is next week, and we will have some different hours. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, we are open 10 - 2 p.m. We are closing on Friday and Saturday!

This A-liner was the first vehicle we bought for touring the country and playing tournaments. I did not use it as much as the Interstate, but it introduced us to the caping lifestyle. Going to miss this one, too, happy to have it sold! Fly Free

My van has been part of my disc golf life for 10 years. I will miss it, but not all our memories together. The van is headed to a new home on Thursday. Just part of my "Getting Ready to Retire program." Fly Free...

Lordy, Lordy, look who is 70! I will retire again (since this is the third time I have gone back to work). Our lease runs through August, so if you have ever had an idea about owning a disc golf store, now would be a good time to reach out. Just stop by the shop, and we can talk about the opportunity. We plan to get on the road for 20 to 30 weeks a year and chuck some plastic! I am unsure when we will lock the doors. We will have some shorter hours in the weeks we are out of town. Remember the fundraising event the Boy's and Girl's Club ran last year at Ferry Park? Well, they are going to do it again this year. Fly Free hopes and encourages you to register and support this great cause.
