Congratulations to our 2026-2027 Cheer Team! 📣🏴‍☠️

I am SO excited for this next year and everything this team is going to accomplish together! Thank you to everyone who came out and gave it your all this week — we already have so much to be proud of. 💙

✨ THE NIGHT BEFORE TRYOUTS ✨

Tomorrow is the big day and I could not be more proud of all of our athletes already! 💙🏴‍☠️🤍 You have worked so hard this week, supported one another, and shown so much positivity and spirit.

And if you haven’t been able to make it to clinics this week — that’s okay! If you’re interested in cheer, we still want you to come out and try tomorrow. Don’t let nerves or missed clinics stop you from giving it a shot! ✨

A few reminders for tomorrow:
• 5th Grade: Blue shirt / black shorts
• 6th Grade: White shirt / black shorts
• 7th Grade: Black shirt / black shorts

Hair should be in a mid-to-high ponytail, and ribbons in Pryor colors are welcome!

The gym will open at 3:00 PM for anyone wanting to come in and clean up their performance one last time.

Remember — smile, have fun, and be confident! The only person who will know if you make a mistake is YOU, so keep going and shine! ✨

I also want everyone to know that I have outside judges coming in, so don’t stress — I’m simply there to encourage and support you every step of the way. 💙

After tryouts, athletes are welcome to walk over to Tropical Smoothie together to celebrate an amazing week! Please do NOT come back up to the school until I text that the team list has officially been posted at the front doors of Pryor.

We’re celebrating the END of testing with a Tropical Luau Dance on Friday, May 15th from 1:30–3:30! ☀️🎶
$5 entry fee

If students are ALL finished with testing, they’ll have the chance to hula right out of 6th period and head to the dance early! 🕺🌴
Students still needing to make up testing will join us at 2:30.

Hey everyone! I can’t believe we’re already here, but cheer tryouts are just ONE WEEK away — and I want to make sure you feel ready and confident going in.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Clinics start on Monday, May 11 at 3:00 PM. If you’re a 5th grader, don’t stress — just come over when your school lets out. We’ll be excited to see you whenever you arrive!

Now, listen closely: your cheer packets are due Monday — the moment you walk into clinics. No packet, no participation. Please double-check that everything is filled out and signed.

You MUST have an athletic physical either already on file at Pryor or turned in to me on Monday. If you don’t, you’ll need to sit and observe clinics. This is a non-negotiable safety requirement, so make sure it’s taken care of ahead of time.

Clinics are your time to fine-tune your skills, get feedback, and learn from our current squad. They’re here to help you feel confident and prepared for tryouts!

You should be familiar with the following by Monday:

* The sideline chant
* The cheer
* The tryout dance

All of these are posted in the Band, so make sure you’re watching and practicing. I’ve updated some of the wording in the sideline chant and cheer to better reflect our Pryor Pirate Pride, so be sure to learn the new versions.

We’ll also have a mat out for tumbling, and if time allows, we may do some light stunting — so come dressed, stretched, and ready to go.

I’m so excited to see what you bring to the mat! This is your chance to show your spirit, skills, and determination — and we’re cheering you on every step of the way.
