Choctawhatchee High School Archery Team

Our team brought home 2nd place out of 11 in the high-school division for the State of Florida.

We had 4 Archers place in the top 10 high-school division:
Eric Lee's exceptional performance earned him 2nd place for high-school boys and 3rd overall FL boys with a score of 285, as well as a $3000 scholarship.

Daniel Thompson placed 5th for high-school boys and 8th overall with a score of 281.

Bristol Montgomery's perseverance paid off, placing 7th for high-school girls and 11th overall with a personal record of 277.

Sophia Harper placed 9th for high-school girls with a score of 276.

We're proud of our team's ability to rise to the challenge and achieve multiple personal records.

Here's to a successful and safe journey to Gainesville for our local Archers and their families as they compete in the State tournament tomorrow. We wish you the best of luck. Let's rally behind our Okaloosa County Teams!

The Choctaw Big Green tournament was a remarkable accomplishment, demonstrating the power of collaboration and community spirit. Our local coaches, parents, and Archers who volunteered worked tirelessly to make the event a success, which was reflected in the impressive turnout of 315 competitors.

We applaud the exceptional performances of Daniel Thompson, who placed 1st, Ashton LaBerge, who took 2nd place in the high-school boys category, and Sophia Harper, who secured 2nd place in the high-school girls category. Notably, six Archers achieved new personal bests.

We're ready to get season started!

Upon completing our season, our Archers participated in Nationals in Louisville, KY. We appreciate the support of our season sponsors and parents, whose financial contributions were essential to our success. Sponsorships helped minimize costs for parents and allowed us to acquire new targets and arrows.

🎉 Our Archers did it again! We are so proud of them! 🎉 We had an incredible performance with 5 Archers hitting personal bests! Among the highlights, we saw 4 boys in the top 5 for the State of Florida high-school boys’ division, and 2 girls in the top 3 for the State of Florida high-school girls’ division. And a huge shoutout to Sophia Harper for taking 2nd in the state of Florida overall for girls!

Our team has achieved an amazing feat, placing 1st for high-school and becoming Grand Champions for the second year in a row! Every single Archer poured their heart and soul into their performance, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication.

And the excitement isn’t over! 24 of our Archers will be competing in Louisville, KY for Nationals on May 10th at 1:00 PM. Let’s go show them what we’re made of! 🌟🏆
