While preparing for the Daily News Junior Classic, I came across the legendary David Trimm! For years, David was instrumental in running the Daily News Junior Classic, then later was the biggest supporter of juniors! Retirement is treating you well, David Trimm

In 1998, Nick Rousey started the tournament with an eagle on the first hole propelling him to a 68 opening round. He held off Future Masters Champ Wes Tate by posting a 70, winning by five strokes.
Panama City’s Elizabeth Kasey took the Overall Girls title with her rounds of 79 and 72, bettering Lindsey Cooley by two strokes

Repeat and Three-peat...The 32nd Daily News Junior Classic was highlighted by a hole in one by Destin MS eighth-grader Tyler Cohen. Sarah Hicks repeated as the Girls Overall Champion posting 74-70-144. Brandon Jowers won his third consecutive Daily News title posting 67-72-139

Since 1980, the Daily News Jr. Classic has provided opportunities for juniors from this area to compete in a two-day tournament against some of the South’s best golfers. This year, we are bringing back the College Division, and for the first time ever, we will offer an ALUMNI division.
