Happy Birthday!!

Our wrestling season may be over, but our wrestlers' dedication and hard work to the sport continues every day. This weekend, they showcased their skills at Team Florida FAWA State Championships for Freestyle & Greco, and we couldn't be prouder!

Two of our wrestlers earned their spot on Team Florida and will travel to Fargo in July and will go up against the best in the nation!

We want to give a special shoutout to senior Alyssa Gaines! Alyssa spent three years being a part of the CHS wrestling team and played a huge role both on and off the mat. Whether she was competing, traveling to tournaments to support her teammates, stepping in to help coach when needed, or videoing matches, Alyssa was always willing to do whatever she could to help her team and friends succeed. Her dedication, support, and positive presence never went unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she brought to CHS Wrestling!

After high school, Alyssa plans to attend the University of Missouri to pursue a degree in Political Science, and we know she is going to accomplish amazing things!

Today we celebrate Brody Golightly! This is Brody’s first year on the CHS wrestling team, but he previously wrestled for three years at his former high school. Along with wrestling, Brody has also been a part of both the CHS and his previous school’s varsity football team. From the moment he steps on the mat, Brody brings nonstop energy and intensity, giving maximum effort in every practice and tournament, making him a true powerhouse on the mat.

After graduation, Brody plans to attend FSU to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering while also exploring opportunities to continue wrestling and playing football at the collegiate level. We know Brody will continue to excel in everything he does!

Payton Gaines, Victoria Smith & Noah Helfrich are FARGO BOUND!!

A few of our CHS wrestlers traveled to Southeast Regionals in Duluth, GA, this weekend to battle for their spot at the Annual U.S. Marine Corps Junior & 16U National Championships, also known as “Fargo,” held in Fargo, ND, in July.

This Senior Sunday, we celebrate Bishop Reimers! Bishop has been a member of the CHS wrestling team for the past three years while also being involved in JROTC and the swim team. His hard work and involvement in different activities show his willingness to grow, push himself, and never shy away from a new challenge. Bishop gives 100% in everything he does, both on and off the mat! After high school, Bishop plans to join the Army, and we are proud of his next challenge!

For Senior Sunday, we celebrate Billy Asble! Billy has been a member of the Crestview wrestling team for four years while also competing in football and swimming. No matter the situation, Billy always brings a positive attitude and is willing to step up and help wherever asked. We are proud of the hard work, dedication, and commitment he brings to everything he does. 🐾
