Got this text today from what I’m going to call my kid. Love this little girl and this why I did it for so long. 😢. Even called me Chris Cain. Lol

Nine years ago Adam Higdon, Eric Barnett, Sharyl Barnett and myself started Kentucky Venom for the Whitesville/Knottsville kids to get some travel ball in. Along the way I met one of my best friends Terry Payne who joined me as the assistant coach. Never dreamed we would have kept it together this long and been so successful over the years. Been a roller coaster at times but all worth it at the end. We won numerous Championships, World Series and Nationals. BUT— The biggest joy of it all has been watching these girls improve more and more every year and make such an impact with their High School Teams. Every Venom kid I ever coached made their Middle School Team or High School Team. I”m super proud of that. With that being said this was the last season for Kentucky Venom. I have decided to step away and let Sophia blaze a new trail for her travel ball career. Time to get away from ole dad. lol. Hard decision to part ways with the best most dedicated parents I’ve ever been around and the absolute best girls I’ve ever coached. But no doubt they will all be successful with any team or any sport they choose. I want to thank everyone who helped this team be such a success over the nine years and allowing me to be a part of your daughters life. Thanks to all again and one last time. Go Venom!!!! Coach Cain

Kentucky Venom finished The Scenic City Showcase second in their pool. Barely missing the bracket for Sunday. Finishing up 4-1-1. To say I’m proud of these local kids going and winning and competing against some big organizations is an understatement. They definitely made theirselves known!! Proud of these girls. 💪💪🥎🥎
