๐ฅ BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TINY TYKES! ๐ฅ
Congratulations to our youngest martial artists on their recent belt stripe promotions! We love watching these kids growโnot just in their martial arts skills, but in confidence, discipline, and leadership.
Our Tiny Tykes program is designed specifically for ages 4โ6 and introduces children to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing while building the movement and coordination skills theyโll use as they progress in martial arts.
But at this age, some of the most important lessons happen between the techniques.
Tiny Tykes learn how to listen to a coach, line up and wait their turn, take care of their gear, work appropriately with a training partner, encourage their teammates, and understand when itโs time to listen, drill, and lead. Even our youngest students have opportunities to take on leadership roles within the class.
For some, Tiny Tykes becomes the beginning of a path into BJJ competition. For others, itโs a foundation for self-defense, confidence, physical literacy, and learning how to thrive in a structured class environment.
And as they grow, our Tiny Tykes can progress into our older youth martial arts classes, Aftercare Program, and Summer Campโbuilding on the same foundation they started at four or five years old.

๐ฅ TRAIN WITH A PURPOSE.
At Fort Washington United, our training isnโt built around learning an isolated technique today and something unrelated tomorrow. There is a strategy behind the training.
Coach Jason recently sat down with our competitors and students to walk through our long-term training methodologyโwhere weโre going, what weโre building toward, and how the next several months of training fit together.
Our curriculum is designed around progressive skill development. Positions, movements, attacks, defenses, transitions, and combinations are taught in deliberate sequences so that students arenโt simply collecting techniquesโtheyโre learning how those techniques connect into a complete system.
For our competitors, that means developing the ability to recognize positions, solve problems, create reactions, and transition instinctively rather than relying on a collection of memorized moves.
And the progression has applications beyond the competition mat. The same underlying skills support Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition, MMA, and practical self-defense.
Our approach draws heavily from the principles of long-term strategic planning: establish the objective, identify the capabilities required to reach it, and build those capabilities progressively.
Whether youโre an experienced competitor looking for a serious training environment or a new student who wants to understand why youโre learning what youโre learning, thereโs a place for you on our mats.
Train with purpose. Build the system. Trust the progression.

๐๐ฅ AFTERCARE THAT BUILDS CHAMPIONS โ ONLY 5 SPOTS LEFT! ๐ฅ๐
School is back in session, and Fort Washington Unitedโs Aftercare Program is about much more than simply giving kids somewhere to go after school.
Our goal is to make those afternoon hours count.
๐ SCHOOL PICKUP
We provide pickup from participating Fort Washington-area schools for students in grades Kโ7.
๐ INDIVIDUALIZED ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Homework completion is part of the program โ but we go further.
Each child receives individualized tutoring focused specifically on reading or math, based on where that student needs the most development.
And tutoring isnโt only for kids who are struggling.
๐ Already advanced in math? We keep going. Rather than having a student repeat material theyโve already mastered, we can begin pushing them toward the next level of math and continue challenging them academically.
๐ฅ JIU-JITSU โข MMA โข STRIKING โข GRAPPLING
Kids get out of the classroom and MOVE. Martial arts training develops practical skills while reinforcing confidence, discipline, resilience, fitness, and self-defense.
๐ค๐จ๐ป CLUBS & ENRICHMENT
Aftercare students are also eligible to participate in our:
๐ค Robotics Club
๐ป Coding Club
๐จ Art Club
๐ Drone Club
โ Math Club
And we donโt just want kids participating โ we want them leading.
โญ Our clubs include Aftercare Kid Captains, giving students opportunities to take responsibility, help other children, and develop real leadership experience.
Throughout the program, aftercare students may be placed in age-appropriate positions of responsibility where they learn to lead, communicate, mentor, and contribute to their team.
This is aftercare designed to develop the whole child:
โ
Stronger academically
โ
Stronger physically
โ
More confident
โ
More disciplined
โ
More responsible
โ
Better prepared to lead
