FCA FINS Update!

What a big week of training, competition, and impact for the FINS…

A few highlights:

🏆 10u FINS NEI 🥎 - Summer Bash Champs
🏆 13u FINS NEI ⚾️ - AAA State Champs
🥈 13u FINS SWI ⚾️ - AAA State Runner-Up
🥈 11u FINS NEI ⚾️ - AAA State Runner-Up
🥈 15u FINS NEI ⚾️ - GL Summer Runner-Up

Did you know the 13u FINS from Fort Wayne played the 13u FINS from Evansville in the Championship game of the USSSA ‘AAA’ State Tournament?! It took an EPIC 12 inning battle to crown the champs.

Additionally, the 11u FINS from Fort Wayne enjoyed a similar tournament run but what came from it was two teams AND their families gathering for prayer at the plate after the championship game.

While winning is nice, FCA teams are reminded that their worth is found in Christ rather than in the terminal riches of this world. So what is the ultimate prize?

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes launched FCA Sports in 2022 to build platforms for coaches to share the Gospel through the game. Now a growing number of FCA club teams are impacting the lives of coaches, athletes, families, officials, and opponents as traveling missionaries.

Why Christ-Centered youth sports through FCA? The world needs a different anchor other than the pressures of the world that value successes and failures over the eternal hearts of coaches and athletes. We remind our coaches and athletes that their identity is in Christ - regardless of the outcome or circumstance.

Is it okay to be competitive and try to be the best we can be in a sport? Absolutely! But what does that mean… Our goal is to honor God with our attitude, effort, and words and the ONLY way to do that is to FIX our eyes of Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith.
