SheeKriStyle Academy of Dance Arts will be CLOSED in observance of Memorial Day. ❤️

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We thank all military families for their service and sacrifice.

Please enjoy this time to rest, reset, and spend time with loved ones. ❤️

Black History Month Spotlight ✨

Katherine Dunham was a pioneering modern dancer, choreographer, and anthropologist who transformed American dance. She centered Black movement—grounded, rhythmic, expressive movement rooted in African and African-diasporic traditions—on the concert stage.

Through the Dunham Technique, she fused ballet and modern dance with polyrhythm, isolations, and cultural storytelling, proving Black dance was both technically rigorous and academically significant. Her work reshaped how dance is taught, studied, and valued worldwide.
