DNFW members had a blast today at the Indiana Doula Conference! What a fantastic event!

We're taking a moment to recognize the special relationships between doulas and nurses during Nurses Week! We dropped off care packages to local L&D units to thank the nurses we have the privilege to partner with.

We also including a longtime DNFW project - our hospital binders! These binders include DNFW doulas and info about our organization, to ensure positive communication between doulas and hospital staff, with the goal of centering our clients' needs and providing the best care.

Our community is best served when we all support one another!

It's World Doula Week! This week, we celebrate the unique role of doulas in perinatal care, from pregnancy and birth to postpartum.

Doula work is, at its heart, rooted in serving families along the journey of childbirth, but goes far beyond that. While doulas may be associated with the labor and birth itself, their role begins long before a baby is born. From pre-conception planning, to pregnancy care, to labor, to immediate postpartum, to extended postpartum and beyond, doulas support families through every stage of welcoming a baby.

This year, we're celebrating all the unique forms doula work can take, with a special look at the past 20 years of consistent support the DNFW doulas have shown this community.
