Its been a week for Birthdays here on the ranch.

Happy 1st Birthday to the 2025 fillies, Wish and Blessing.

Mango the handsome 2026 c**t joined the crew.

Sweet 16 to Lydia Waugh.

They won’t remember the game they missed…
but they will remember the barn.

They’ll remember mornings with tired eyes and feed buckets in their hands.
They’ll remember the sound of hooves, the smell of hay, and the quiet pride that comes from doing chores when no one is watching.

Kids in agriculture are built different.

They learn that life doesn’t always go as planned…
That hard work doesn’t guarantee a win…
But you show up anyway.

They learn responsibility before most kids even know what that word really means.
They learn respect — for animals, for people, and for the life they’ve been given.

And maybe most importantly…
they learn that success isn’t handed down — it’s earned, one early morning and one late night at a time.

Not every kid will grow up in the show ring or on a ranch…
but the ones who do….

They carry something with them the rest of their life that can’t be taught anywhere else.

Grit.
Work ethic.
Heart.

So if your kids are out there in the dirt, in the cold, in the heat… doing the work most people will never see—

You’re not just raising livestock.

You’re raising good humans.

And that matters more than any banner ever will.
