Really cool when your athletes are as excited about the reverse as they are about their prep!
In Tessa’s case she had a pretty tough time coming out of her last reverse (didn’t actually compete) - we’ve had to deal with some digestion issues and overall just getting her to function better.

This time, being in a good place right out of prep?? The sky is the limit! 🤩

Things we are taking into consideration:
•Lowering cardio
•Increasing food on both training and rest days
•Lowering training stimulus (for a brief period)
•Getting metabolism back to a healthy maintenance
•Removing supplementation that was used minimally (calm down all natural things you can buy over-the-counter 🙄)
•And overall, just getting her headspace healthy again and a little less restrictive.

Bodybuilding is more mental than most people realize!
Going to the gym is the easy part 😅😅

And yes her plan was ready the DAY AFTER her show.
We stay ON TOP of health and timelines here.
has anyone who has competed nose, that time directly post show is crucial! And how you treat the first couple weeks can make or break your off-season 💯
( speaking as an athlete who has also nailed her reverse and screwed it up. Different preps lol)

As a coach, you know you’re going to be writing a post Post show…. You just never know what TYPE of post you’ll write.
It all depends on who shows up and how your athletes show up.
With Fit Model still being a newer division, you gotta pay attention harder to what’s CURRENTLY winning shows and try to bring your athlete into that look as best you can.

Well. Today was .gar day 🥹🥹
Which means it was mine too 😭💖

1st Teen
2nd True Novice (never competed before)
1st Open A (all ages, under 5’5)
Nationally Qualified her first show ever!! A contender in the Overall battle?! Getting feedback that was marginal?!

Ugh. This is one of those REALLY EXCITING posts you get to make as a coach.
And I’m just so honored and grateful and proud of Tessa for doing everything and more.

A true example of being ON TOP of more than just her meal plan and cardio.
She graduated just last week- staying ON TOP of her school work
She stayed ON TOP of her schedule and time management.
Shes stayed ON TOP of planning all her registrations, makeup/hair, tan appts, etc (it’s a lot)
‼️She stayed ON TOP of her supplements ‼️
She’s stayed ON TOP of her 💩
And ON TOP of her communication with me about all of the above.

Coaching is a partnership.
I can make a great plan, but if it’s not executed and information relayed? It’s very hard to see real progress.

Alright. It’s late.

Let’s nail this reverse 😈😈

✅ Traveling
✅ went out to eat
✅ Big family function
✅ No kitchen.

These are all common excuses I get why people DONT hit their macro numbers OR eat off plan.

I wanted to make a post showing it is POSSIBLE to do all of the above, stay present, AND NOT RESTRICT yourself 🥹🥰

Things I did to prepare:
1. Cooked proteins in advance (egg whites, salmon and shrimp) for the days I’d be gone (2-3 days).
2. Kept them in the hotel fridge 🤯
3. Left my freezer packs with the front desk for the ride back 🤯 (yup they’ll keep freezables for you!
4. Kept my carbs low earlier in the day since I knew we’d be going out later (not NO CARBS, just lower- I get shaky if I dont eat any… wild. Almost like the body NEEDS carbs)
5. Ate my first meal at little later in the day so I wouldn’t get hungry too soon or run out of meals (start eating around 11am)
6. Kept my water intake high and stayed consistent with my steps. (Keep that water jug on me!)

and I have finally finished her cut! Rounding things out at a total of 46lbs lost, 3 Strongman Competitions completed, and lots learned in between!! 👏🏼

This whole process has been done utilizing a completely vegetarian diet- not sacrificing protein one bit! 🥦
Yes, she also had cardio.
Yes, she had lots of steps.
Yes, we utilized proper supplementation.
Yes, she checked in weekly (sometimes more)

And yes, we are now getting into her reverse diet. (This will be very fun to get her back to a maintenance level calories that she can feel her strongest in without putting on too much of the weight that we just lost.)

All in all, Devon has done exactly what was asked of her and in doing so was able to reach her goals far beyond what we had expected!

So proud of you, lady! And so excited for this new challenge that we will be taking on! 🤩 🏃🏽‍♀️

Had a great first Posing session with this week!

I always remind my clients, “The judges don’t know your story. They only know what you look like Come show day.”

But gosh darn it, Ashley has a pretty cool story. Losing over 100 pounds and now putting her mind towards a bodybuilding competition next year! 💃🏼

‼️NEXT YEAR‼️

She’s over a year out, and she is already recognizing the importance that Posing will play! 🤯🤩 now that is some dedication I can mess with!

In our session, I reminded her that her body may continue to change and based on how she’s looking right now, WELLNESS may be a better fit for her. Especially since she does enjoy training lower body the most!
👉🏼Finding a division that you fit into is great, but finding one that you actually are passionate about is even more fulfilling!

Really looking forward to watching this girl morph over the next year and helping her to continue to see what she’s capable of! 😍😍😍

Want to give a shoutout to first time Fit Model athlete .gar 🥹🥹 She was sitting 5 weeks out when I snagged this side by side 🤯🤯

The things we went through leading into this prep were wild but…. She persevered!!
Reversing out of a poor previous prep
Getting her health and digestion right
Getting her MINDSET ready to REALLY grow
Then GROWING 😈
She added 15lbs to her frame (not all muscle calm down lol)
And starting in Feb we pulled the trigger for her first prep…. As a SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL.

Baby bird graduates this weekend yall 🥹😍
(And she’s still executing at the highest level 🤯)

I literally couldn’t have asked for a smoother prep for her first Show. 💖💖

So proud of first time figure athlete Kristen this last weekend!! 💃🏼

Posing was the one things that wasn’t coming easy. But week after week she kept showing up and GETTING BETTER. And sometimes that’s all we can do: show up. 💯💖

We worked together virtually for about 10 weeks and the improvements made were incredible.

You killed it girl! So so proud of you!!
