🥋 2026 DOJO DUELS RECAP — YOU CAME, YOU SAW, YOU CONQUERED! 🔥🥋
October 10th 2026, Chandler Judo Academy hosted our 2026 Dojo Duels, a small, in-house tournament designed to give judoka from clubs around the area a taste of what tournament competition feels like. While Dojo Duels is traditionally geared toward beginners, we welcomed judoka of ALL experience levels to step onto the mat, test themselves, and learn.
As the Team Manager of Chandler Judo Academy, I want to give a HUGE thank-you to every club that came out and made this event possible! 👏
🥋 Thank you to our visiting clubs:
* Vasquez Jiu-Jitsu
* Pan Afrikan Grappling
* Kuzushi Judo
* Fort Worth Judo
* MSHQ Judo
* Waco Judo
* Becerra Judo
🏆 Congratulations to Vasquez Jiu-Jitsu for taking home the most team points! Way to represent!
🔥 And a HUGE shout-out to Arianna Washington of Pan Afrikan Grappling! Arianna scored a 4 second ippon! 🤯🥇 Absolutely incredible! This young judoka is one to watch, and I can’t wait to see how she continues to develop and excel in this sport. Keep it up, Arianna!
📊 The numbers
✅ 50 matches, not including exhibition matches
✅ Clubs and athletes coming together to compete, learn, and grow
✅ An incredible day of judo, sportsmanship, and community!
Whether your club brought 10 athletes or you were the ONE person representing your entire club, we appreciate you. You showed up, stepped onto the mat, and gave it your all. That matters!
You came. You saw. You conquered. You learned. YOU JUDOED! 💪🥋
From all of us at Chandler Judo Academy, thank you for making Dojo Duels such a success. This is what judo is all about: building better athletes, stronger communities, and friendships that extend beyond the mat.
📅 MARK YOUR CALENDARS: CHANDLER CHALLENGE 2027
🗓️ January 23, 2027
We’re already looking ahead to the next one! We’re also applying to have the Chandler Challenge recognized as a USA Judo National Points Tournament, which could bring an even bigger level of competition to the event. More details to come!
We hope to see every one of you back on the mat in January. Until then, keep training, keep throwing! 🇺🇸🥋
