Pioneers were on Lake Ray Roberts this past weekend!
150 teams competed representing 33 schools.
Way to go to Rylan and Eli for placing in 23rd with 5.76lbs of fish.
Can’t wait for next month’s tournament on Lake Lewisville!

📢 METROPLEX DIVISION SCHEDULE UPDATE

The Metroplex Division event scheduled for October 17, 2026, has been moved from Joe Pool Lake to Lake Ray Roberts.

After reviewing the current size of the competing field, THSBA determined that Joe Pool Lake would not adequately support the number of teams expected to compete.

Several other lakes were considered, but each had active tournaments scheduled for the same date. We explored every available option to avoid visiting the same lake twice this season, but unfortunately, we were unable to make that happen in this instance.

All current Joe Pool tournament registrations will automatically transfer to the Lake Ray Roberts event. Anglers do not need to take any action on their end.

New tournament information will be posted. Please update your plans accordingly and help us share this announcement.

Our Pioneers hit the water on our home lake, for the first tournament of the year!
147 teams competed representing 30 schools.
Way to go to Rylan and Eli for placing in 68th with 2.43lbs of fish.
We’re incredibly proud of our anglers and the hard work they put in on the water. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings!

🥈 2nd: $1,000 Scholarship + Plaques + Lew’s Mach 1 SS Reels + $100 Academy Gift Cards
🥉 3rd: $500 Scholarship + Plaques + Lew’s Speed Spool Reels + $50 Academy Gift Cards
🏆 4th: Boat Captain Scholarship + Plaques + Lew’s Accel RX Reels + $50 Academy Gift Cards

5th through 8th will take home Lew’s reels, and 9th through 15th will receive Academy gift cards!

🐟 Big Bass will also take home a $500 Gilchrist Outdoors + Costa Del Mar sunglasses!

Plus, there’s bassboatwired contingency money available for qualifying Top 10 teams.

It all starts at 3:00 PM today at weigh-in, we’ll be handing out scholarships, Lew's, Academy Sports + Outdoors, plaques, contingency money, and more! 🏆

🎣 CAN YOU FISH OUTSIDE YOUR HOME DIVISION?

Yes! THSBA anglers may fish as many tournaments across the state as they would like.

When fishing outside your home division:

✅ Your team is eligible for all scholarships and prizes offered at the tournament.

✅ You may fish with a different partner than you normally fish with in your home division.

❌ The tournament will not count toward your home division Angler of the Year standings.

⚠️ Important Team Rule: You cannot pair an angler from the tournament’s home division with an out-of-division angler. Both anglers on the team must be registered outside the division hosting the tournament.

Fish more lakes, compete against new teams, and take advantage of more opportunities across Texas!
