In 2012, feral hogs made their presence known on the golf course - literally roto-tilling turf. Dry conditions in their native areas caused them to venture onto the golf course and inflict significant turf damage.

UTA Golf Tourney Called Due to Bees 10/20/2025

In 2011, a collegiate golf tournament was cancelled due to bees. This was Waterchase’s 15 seconds of fame, as the story made national news outlets including ESPN, The New York Times & all the local news affiliates.
