⛳️ When a golfer finds a set of wedges that works, the last thing they want to do is guess on a replacement set years down the road.

Artisan Golf co-founder Mike Taylor is reviewing a set of custom wedges originally built in November of 2020, allowing him to ensures every grind, weight, and spec matches the original build. Every single detail is documented to a T during the initial fitting and build, any club Artisan has ever made can be replicated exactly as it was the first time—giving players full confidence when it’s time for a fresh set.

⛳️ David, who handles the laser work here at Artisan Golf, breaks down how every sole, cavity, and bumper is detailed in our Fort Worth shop.

After the putter head receives its face texture from Shane, it arrives on David’s desks as a blank canvas. Before anything is permanent, David dials in the laser focus and runs a light white mark on the metal to verify alignment. If it isn’t perfect, it easily buffs off so he can start fresh. Once approved, the laser burns deep into the metal—engraving “Made in Fort Worth, Texas,” our signature cavity star, model specs, and custom bumper text deep enough to hold paint fill or stay raw.

Customization is a big part of what we do here at Artisan Golf. What would you have engraved on your custom putter? ⛳️👇

⛳️ Artisan Golf master fitter Jamie Pipes breaks down what he’s watching during outdoor turf testing with a customer. His focus is on turf interaction, divot position, and ball flight to see how the club moves through space. The golfer’s only job is to be the “mechanical man” and swing, while the fitter tests different tools to naturally change the ball flight.

Outdoor testing is and always will be an essential part of our club fitting process here at Artisan Golf.

⛳️ Artisan master club builder DR breaks down the simple secret to keeping a set of irons, wedges, or a driver together for the long haul: acetone. Cleaning both the hosel of the clubhead and the shaft tip with plenty of acetone ensures the epoxy bonds cleanly without any debris or oils breaking it down. Whether building clubs for PGA Tour players or weekend golfers, getting the bond right the first time guarantees heads stay locked in place shot after shot.

⛳️ Artisan Golf isn’t a continuation of Nike or “The Oven”—it’s something far bigger, unrestricted by corporate rules, margins, or price points.

Master craftsmen David Franklin, Mike Taylor, and John Hatfield reflect on the true DNA behind Artisan. Freed from corporate handcuffs, they’ve combined decades of experience from every major brand they’ve worked with to build without limits. But as Mike Taylor points out, the deepest root of their craftsmanship traces back to the passion, standards, and heritage of the Ben Hogan Company in its prime.

⛳️ We play the game outside, so we need to test equipment outside.

Artisan Golf fitting expert Jay Johnson explains why hitting off real grass beats synthetic mats every time. Context is everything. If you ask ten PGA Tour players whether they’d rather dial in their irons indoors on turf or outside on real grass with real golf balls, the answer is obvious. Grass provides the exact turf interaction, ground feedback, and ball response you actually experience on the course.

⛳️ Weighting isn’t just about making a club heavier or lighter—it’s about overall balance. The relationship between head weight and grip weight dictates the balance point that allows you to see and feel the speed correctly.

Artisan Golf co-founder John Hatfield breaks down how proper putter weighting controls your distance. When your club balance is off, speed control fails. Leave it short, and you force yourself to hit harder, creating wider dispersion. Blow it past the hole, and you steer the stroke, leading to deceleration. Getting the balance point right eliminates that guess-and-check instinct so your tempo stays natural.

How do you usually struggle with speed... leaving putts short or blowing them past? ⛳️👇
