We don’t really do production here. A big run of something is 20 parts — that’s a lot for us. We’re small, light, and nimble. We can change on a dime.

If we find something we don’t like, it’s about a ten minute conversation. We’ll figure it out, change some things, run a sample, and say yeah, that’s better. In our past life, it wasn’t always that way. But if we can make something better, we’re gonna make something better.

We may have 20 heads cut, but within those 20 heads there’s a whole bunch of changes we’re always making. It’s not just “here you go.” It’s like nope — got to this point, now we gotta do this, this, and this.

We’re blessed for the team we have!

⛳️ We honor those who came before us and laid a foundation!

⛳️ When we have an idea and we bring it to life. That’s cool. We had an idea for a part and a day and a half later, we had a putter out on the green trying it out.

We’ll hash it out till we get something we’re happy with. They all look cool on the screen, but until you get them in metal, you don’t really know. There have been designs where I’m like “I hate this” — and then we cut it in metal and it’s like, that’s not too bad. That’s not too bad.

He started playing golf with his dad when he was 15. Became a machinist out of high school. Made aircraft parts till 2004, got pretty burned out, and needed a change.

A material salesman told him Nike had put in a facility — said he should go check it out. When he was looking for a job, he remembered that and made one phone call. Got the number to Mike’s desk. If you know Mike, he’s not at his desk very often. But he picked up on the first ring.

They talked for about 15 minutes. He said Alen wouldn’t send him somebody he didn’t think was pretty good. Set up an interview. They met from 2 in the afternoon to 7 o’clock that night. Three months later, He got the call.

That was 2004. He’s been here ever since.

⛳️ You know, you look around and it’s just plain facts—we’ve had a whole mess of touring pros live and play right here in the Metroplex. But let me tell ya, Fort Worth? Now *that* is a golf town, through and through. We’re a golf town to our very core, and we take an awful lot of pride in keeping that fire lit and continuing that legacy.

This whole state has a massive footprint in the game, and this very building has got a ton of history baked into the walls. We’ve had some of the finest ball-strikers and athletes to ever lace ‘em up walk across these shop floors. It’s always gonna be remembered for that. One way or another, we ain’t ever gonna let folks forget it.

Now, there are things in this shop that were a big part of our past careers. But what we’re hunkered down and doing right now? We’re forging the Artisan legacy.

I like to think Mr. Hogan himself would look at the clubs we’re grinding out here and be mighty proud of our work.

When you’re doing a test session or a lesson, we have the technology to measure. But it should be so obvious that what we’re doing is correct that we just look at the machine to see the fine numbers.

Even if you’re a 25 handicap, I’ve had them go out there and say “that’s just better” — they can’t tell me why, but they know. And that’s why I’m here. We’re in the business of why and how. The measurements and stuff are important, but golfers know when they hit the center.

I gotta say this. When we started this, we’re talking about what we’re gonna do, this and that and the other. And Mike said two things.

Number one, he said we gotta win at home first. Great statement. That’s how we started this — local.

The other thing is — I just wanna help people. We’ve been doing this a long time. Helping people is the most satisfaction. And we are helping. We wanna continue to do that. And we’re dead serious about it.
