Wow!!! What a fun Sunday!!! I can't thank everyone enough for showing up and making Gateway Dubz so much fun!

We had 17 teams for our Championship round.

Here are the results.

After a playoff Cameron Shirley and Brett Seago got 4th.
Coming in 3rd is the Letts father son team!
Jayden Torres and Antonio Rushin shot 19 down for 2nd!
Daniel Vasquez and Hayden shot -21 for the first annual BYOP Championship at Gateway taking home $340!!!

Thank you John Haggerton, Jeremiah Johnson and Haleigh Johnson for all the food provided for lunch!

Next week we are taking the week off as John and Crystal have a family road trip going on. See y'all Sunday, September 13th for Draw Dubz on Briar Run!!! Everyone have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Club championship this Sunday. Byop! We are starting 30 min earlier to try and beat some heat. Please don't be late. Work on the courses is still ongoing. Hope y'all are enjoying all the changes. Ice chest and shade tents will be on the course for this event.

Sunday info* sign ups are at 9. We will call cards at 930.
2 rounds. 60$, lunch provided. 40$ to payout. So it should be pretty nice. 1st round briar run. Card requests accepted. 2nd round Trinity side. Cards made based on scores. Both rounds holes 11,12 and 13 will be alternate shot. We are also playing long tees. The Plastic Portal is also making some sick trophies for the event. Ctps and Ace pot like every Sunday. Starting to get excited for the club championship at Gateway. Tons of work getting done. Here's a teaser pic. Only one week away. August 30th. BYOP 60$ per team. 40$ of that straight to payout so ya know it's gonna be a good fat payout. Trophies being made as well. 1st round Briar Run, lunch hour or so with food provided. 2nd round Trinity and then payouts.

Unfortunate news. The Fort Worth Open held by Gorilla Discs this Saturday, August 15th has been cancelled. Not enough people signed up in time for him.

Gorilla Disc Golf Presents: The Fort Worth Open at Gateway Park - Supported by Innova Disc Golf Gorilla Disc Golf Presents: The Fort Worth Open at Gateway Park - Supported by Innova Disc Golf is a PDGA-sanctioned disc golf tournament in Fort Worth, Texas beginning August 15, 2026 and hosted by Gorilla DG.

Baskets have been moved and set for the Fort Worth Open tournament at gateway Saturday.
We are also prepping for a BYOP 2 round tournament on the 30th one round on each side with a long/lunch break in between rounds. 60$ per team. This includes ace pot, course funds ctps and some grub if ya wanna munch down at the course. 40$ per team will go to payout. This should get some folks paid for dealing with the heat. Will have tents and ice chests set up throughout the courses.
P.s. 9 more sleeves have been ordered hopefully they get here in time for the event on the 30th.
