While we are proud to share our farm's story with our community and all that we do to help, this issue honors our favorite veteran! Most of you know him fondly as Mr. Tim Beaubien but he is also a very brave and honorable Marine Corps Veteran! We are so proud of him for his service to our country and how far he has come in his career and his passion for helping horses move their best and feel their best as a farrier!

It's such a hustle and bustle world for children, but how can the adults trying to raise them help we all of us are experiencing the same types of feelings??? It's no wonder that the number of children who have been diagnosed with anxiety has gone from 32% in 2022 to 43% in 2024...and probably still climbing because we adults can't cope with it either!!!!

So how can we Healing Hearts With Horses LLC. help you child????

Being around horses forces us humans to slow down and be present in the moment!

Horses live almost entirely in the now. They notice body language, breathing, movement, tone, and energy—and they respond to what is happening in the moment.

For an anxious child, interacting with a horse can naturally encourage them to:

🌿 Slow their movements — rushing can make a horse nervous or distracted, so children learn that calm, steady actions work better.

🫶 Focus on the present — grooming, leading, or simply standing beside a horse gives their attention something concrete to focus on.

👀 Notice body language — children begin watching the horse's ears, eyes, posture, and breathing, shifting attention away from anxious thoughts.

💗 Practice regulating themselves — when a child becomes calmer, the horse often responds to that calmer communication, creating a powerful feedback loop.

🌟 Build confidence — successfully communicating with a 1,000-pound animal can help a child realize, “I can do hard things.”

Sometimes the goal isn't to make anxiety disappear. It's helping a child learn that they can feel anxious… slow down… take a breath… and still move forward.
