This is how I want to raise my kids to be like towards everyone and I think Kirk and I are off to a great start.

Joanna: She is my confident, independent, sassy, and also nurturing girl. She is also my biggest hype woman. After I get dressed in the morning, if I am wearing a dress she usually gasps and asks me to spin around. If I am wearing a skirt or patterned pants she gasps and tells me “you look so cute” or yesterday she gasped and said “you look so beautiful!”

Charlie: He is my sweet soul to begin with. He will tell me that he missed me if I was out running errands. He will share his toys with anyone and even offer to gift some to them. He will ask me why someone was feeling sad or why someone was mean. He will also ask “how did they know my favorite color was blue??” after the waitress gives him some crayons.

Raising kind humans in this world can be challenging, but children naturally don’t need to be taught how to be kind or nonjudgmental. That’s how they are born 🤍
