HOSTS NEEDED

As you may (or may not) already know, when the Varsity team has an AWAY game scheduled on a Friday, it's become a tradition to hold Pasta Nights for the JV and Varsity players at a player's house (instead of in the FHS Cafeteria) the Thursday night PRIOR to the AWAY game.

In order to plan and pull-off these Away Game Pasta Nights and keep this tradition alive, we're looking for help from JUNIOR and SENIOR FAMILIES, as we need HOST FAMILIES for the following games:

September 1st - Defense Family
September 15th - Offense Family
October 13th - Defense Family

To confirm: there is an offensive host family and a defensive host family for EACH night. All offensive players go to the Offense Host Family's house, while all defensive players go to the Defense Host Family's house. Additionally, Host Families provide the main pasta dish and other families are asked to bring additional menu items: bread, salads, desserts, milk, etc.,

Pasta Night

SABER PARENTS & PLAYERS! In preparation for the big game this week, we have our first pasta night on Thursday, August 18th. VARSITY* players should head to the cafeteria directly following practice (5:00ish). Gridiron will be providing pasta, salad, bread and milk for the guys. SENIORS please bring a dessert this week.

CHARITY NIGHT T-SHIRT SALE INFORMATION

In anticipation of Charity Night THIS FRIDAY, August 19th, we'll be selling Charity T-Shirts at Franklin High School on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

You'll find us just inside the main entrance of FHS on:
Tuesday, August 16th: 9:00 a.m. to NOON
Wednesday, August 17th: 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

We'll also be selling shirts on Charity Night before the Varsity football game through halftime; we'll be located just inside the entrance to Sullivan Stadium.

All proceeds will be donated to the National Action Alliance for Su***de Prevention in honor of Derrick Jones, Jr., a former Saber football player who graduated in 2017.

Franklin Football Families:

The 2022 football season is right around the corner! The Gridiron Club will be selling apparel at each of the Varsity home games throughout the season.

In order to make this a success, we are looking for 3 volunteers to help set-up and sell apparel at each home game. We will start selling before the start of each game, through half-time.

If you have a son that will be playing Freshman or JV football during the upcoming season, please consider volunteering your time for a game. Your help will allow Varsity parents to watch their boys play and the favor will surely be returned in future years!

GOLF OUTING WRAP-UP MEETING: Tuesday, August 9th

After the August Gridiron Meeting on Tuesday, August 9th, all are welcome to stay, as we will be having a Gridiron Golf Classic Wrap-Up Meeting to hear about/discuss how this year's outing, and what to consider for next year's event.

This event relies on volunteers to be a success. Please consider joining us!

3:30-5:30 Monday-Friday. Saturday practice time to be announced.
Once Varsity games start which is August 19 - then Friday practice will be 3-4:30.
