National Golf Day | May 10th, 2023

If you’re like us, your life would look a lot different if golf didn’t exist. The joke is that you’d have less friends, less fun, and more money. As true as that may be, none of us would say that our lives would be richer without golf. Golf gives us something to look forward to and, more often than not, someone to look forward to it with. It gives us something to chase, from the cradle to the grave. Perhaps most importantly, golf becomes something we can give away.

Golf is a good game and it can be a vehicle for doing good wherever it is played. Today is about that.

This week, Brooks is in D.C. with NGCOA, American Golf Industry Coalition, and the GCSAA. Together, these organizations work to call attention to the amazing benefits of the golf industry and to work with lawmakers on the issues the industry faces.

Stats that I was amazed to learn is how good golf is for the economy (the size of the golf economy nationally is 102 Billion dollars).

As a vehicle for giving back, golf has raised 50 billion dollars in charity since 2012.

Golf has enabled 1.64 million jobs…

Let’s give it up for golf ⛳️

Project Life TN put on an amazing tournament this morning for a life saving cause.

Their goal is to provide life-affirming education for women in crisis pregnancies. Through ultrasound technology, they show women with unintended pregnancies that they have far more positive choices for their (and their child’s) future than they may think.

The weather is sub-optimal today, both here and at Augusta. Nevertheless, we will have the screen on today and some great food coming from the kitchen!
