No matter how much I hate being told what to do and how to live my life, I’ve actually realized one good thing has come from being forced to stay home since March:

✋ I’VE SLOWED DOWN ✋

It’s so hard, because society likes to think of being super busy all the time as a badge of honor. Making us feel like we’re not doing enough or accomplishing something with our lives if we’re not tired and running around ALL. THE. TIME. (Seriously, this type of life is so not for me but, I have to admit, I participated 💯)

It was really hard to slow down… not only for financial reasons, but because when was the last time we literally had NOTHING to do? What if we got bored?? WHAT WERE WE GOING TO DO??? 🙈

Guess what. We figured it out.

For some of us, we need to give ourselves more permission to slow down. Take inventory of what our heart is telling us. (our hearts and bodies ALWAYS know what we need… most of time we’re just don’t listen!!)

I just got my home workout in. On Monday 3/23 I am starting a virtual workout group here on Facebook. The only thing you need to do is click the link below and ask to join the group, I will approve EVERYONE!!

No need to log into anything (except the group), no need to sign up for anything, no need to give any credit card info, all you have to do is join the group and check in daily for the new workout. This is the least I can do for all of my friends who are stuck at home and missing their gym time.

I haven't done this in a looooong time. But with everything that is going on in the world, with people trying to stay away from gyms, and people on lockdowns...
I am going to do Virtual Workout Group here on Facebook starting on Monday 3/23.
✅ A workout will be posted every morning at 4am (3/23 - 3/29) No, you don’t have to do the workout at 4am, but I’m posting the workout for all you early birds (I am not one of you!) You can do the workout whenever you want throughout the day.
✅ You'll get a meal plan for the week (it will post on 3/21)
✅ You can do all of the workouts from the comfort of your own home (weight lifting workouts, a barre workout, cardio, etc.)
✅ There's no need to log in anywhere except in the group here on facebook, no need to pay anything at all, and no need to type your info in ANYWHERE.

❤️ This body, this body has birthed 3 babies.
❤️ This body has gone through 4 surgeries - one lasting over eleven-and-a-half hours.
❤️ This body has healed and broken and healed again.
❤️ This body keeps me alive.

Our bodies work hard for us. Your body is worthy & wonderful and has kept you moving and living and maybe has even created other lives inside of it. All of our bodies are different, they all deserve respect and strength, and we all deserve to feel good in our own skin.

Loving your body is not something that happens overnight, trust me, you don’t wake up one day and say “Oh! I love my body now.” It’s a process and it’s about progress. It’s the little steps each day that count. It’s not easy, it’s really really hard sometimes, but it’s worth it when you get to the point that you finally accept yourself and feel more positive than negative.

If you have trouble feeling comfortable in your own skin, I’ve been there, and I’m there right now. It may take a long time to feel back to normal, it may happen tomorrow. But I’m not going to accept complacency and I am working hard to feel comfortable again.

Day 1 UPDATE : OMG I’m soooo sore!!! Hahahahaha

And I only used 5lb weights!!! Talk about “starting again!” WOW!!

The thing is, I know I will only get stronger. Soon the weights I’m using will be light for me again - and I can’t wait. ❤️

I’ve had so many “Day 1s”

One after each of my 3 babies, even more after my 4 major surgeries and injuries.

I’m hoping this is the last “Day 1” I ever have.

One of the many things coaching has given me is accountability. I know this may be hard to believe, but those of you who aren’t even in my bootcamps or on my team hold me SOOOO accountable because I feel like I need to show you my goals are bigger than my excuses. Every single like or click gives me motivation to keep going.

Putting myself out there can be really scary, but if it weren’t for this community or coaching, I honestly would probably still be just watching people workout, instead of actually doing it myself.
