POLONIA S.C. OPENING WEEKEND IN ROCKFORD! ❤️⚽️

What a fantastic way to kick off the league season! Four of our N1 teams traveled to Rockford, Illinois, for opening weekend, proudly sporting their brand-new Polonia kits and representing our club on the road! 🔴⚪️⚽️

The results were outstanding:

🏆 U19 Girls N1 — 4-1 WIN
🔥 U15 Girls N1 — 2-1 WIN
💪 U13 Girls N1 — 4-0 WIN
⚔️ U13 Boys N1— 3-2 LOSS, but what a battle! The boys played a fantastic game and showed tremendous heart and determination!

We are incredibly proud of all four teams for the way they competed, represented Polonia, and started the season with passion, teamwork, and pride!

New kits. New season. Same Polonia family. ❤️⚽️

Congrats to Hannah Kroupa who signed a contract with
UKS SMS Łódź () for the 2026-27 season. Hannah returns to Poland for the second time in her career!
Hannah played with us at Polonia S.C, went on to play as a center back in New Berlin, Wisconsin, Hannah played collegiate soccer at Northern Illinois University for two years before deciding to play professionally in Portugal and finish her degree online. She continued her professional career in Spain with Cacereño Femenino and in Poland with Pogoń Tczew. Most recently, Hannah played with Agia Paraskevi in Greece.

Coach Adam and Coach Kevin had a great week on the field with our U10 Boys Academy and U14 Girls N1 and State Premier players.

This week’s sessions connected a lot of the pieces we want players to see in the game: dribbling into and away from pressure, recognizing positive and negative space, understanding how movement off the ball creates opportunities for teammates, and competing through contact while staying balanced and completing the play.

We also continued building fitness through interval sprinting and spent plenty of time in small-sided and modified games where players had specific goals to work toward.

The biggest focus continues to be helping players think, recognize, and make decisions for themselves. The more ownership they can take over their warm-up, their movement, and their choices in the game, the more meaningful their development becomes.

Great work this week, players!! We are proud of your efforts. Can’t wait to hear what your one or two mile time is from this weekend’s run!!

Coach Adam and Coach Kevin put our U10 Boys Academy and U14 N1 Elite / State Premier Girls pools through three strong 75-minute sessions this week.

Two pools. Four teams. Four leagues. 45-50+ players each night. More than 10,000 combined player-minutes and at least 15,000 touches on the ball in the first week alone.

Most thankful for the effort, independence, care for the equipment, and players taking ownership of their own development.
