Franklin Falls Disc Golf

As of this afternoon all 25 holes and the practice basket have the red Chainstar Pros! Thank you to all the players who have come out over the last two years to support this fundraising. Glad to have this upgrade complete!

This year the focus is on getting a regular mow schedule for the basin, which right now is nice and short so take advantage! We also look to fundraise for flags to go on every basket.

PSA: Hole 12s basket was swapped out with what was going to be the practice basket due to someone bending the basket that was on 12 since early 2025. It’s a shame that someone took it upon themselves to stand or sit on it, or whatever action caused that damage. One can hope it wasn’t someone from the disc golf community.

COURSE UPDATE

While I know it’s cold, snowy, and many of us aren’t thinking about playing disc golf at Franklin Falls (especially the basin😅), but progress is being made for improvements on the course!

The final six new baskets to complete the replacement of all 25 holes plus the practice basket have been ordered! They should be arriving in the next few days, stored away for the winter, and out quickly come spring!

Thank you to everyone who has donated or played an event the last few years. Little by little we got this big task done!

If you’re headed to the course please beware that there is a hornets nest in vicinity of teepad 7. Play with caution or avoid this area altogether (there are plenty more holes 😂). Thanks for your patience while we try to reasonabl resolve this safely.

A lot got done today at Franklin Falls!

-Hole 4 got mowed and trimmed around the concrete pile
-Hole 14 got mowed
-Hole 15’s tee around got mowed and trimmed
-Hole B3 got mowed
-The basin has been mowed by the third party company hired by ACOE. B1 and B7 look beautiful. The rest of the basin to be mowed soon!
